Imperial line # 148 made from Central Glass molds. This tray is 11" across, the handle is 4 1/2" tall from the surface of the plate. Reference is "Imperial Glass, Vol. I," edited by James Measell, page 55. Measell states that Imperial acquired the assets of Central Glass Company in 1940.
The distinctive handle includes two balls on each side and a fan on the top. Inez Austin in her monograph on Center Handle Servers classifies this type of handle as "fancy vee."
