Per Marie Coury: Jane Celehar's book "Kitchens and Gadgets" has a nice history of the kitchen manufacturers, A & J included. They were a New York company, and by 1929 they were the largest producer of kitchen tools. Late that year they were sold and eventually moved to Chicago. They were bought by EKCO. This trade mark is listed as the 1937 version.
